Jen Morse - Director, Lead Teacher
Hi, my name is Jennifer Morse, AKA, "Teacher Jen." I am the owner and afternoon teacher at CJA. This is my 14th year as the owner of Creekside Junior Academy. I hold a Masters Degree in Elementary Education and an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Human Services. Although I am qualified to work with much older children, early childhood is my passion. Preschool is such a fun and rewarding place to be. Kids at this age have such a natural curiosity and insatiable desire to learn. I enjoy spending time with them, doing hands-on projects and getting downright messy! One of my passions is teaching children to read. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, attending concerts, working on our small hobby farm and horseback riding!
Brooke Crews - Lead Teacher
I am so excited to be a part of the amazing team of teachers at Creekside Jr. Academy. I hold a Bachelors in Sociology along with 24 credits of Elementary Education from Portland State University. My experience includes teaching elementary school English in South Korea, preschool and Junior Explorers instruction, horsemanship instruction for kids ages 4 to 18 years old, leadership of activities for alternative high school students and private tutoring. I enjoy boating, fishing, camping and horseback riding! I love to spend time with family and friends, read, cook and eat lots of different foods whenever I can!

I am looking forward to another exciting year of teaching preschool! CJA truly holds a special place in my heart. Over the last 13 years I have been fortunate enough to not only be a CJA parent, but a parent helper, a substitute teacher & also a Junior Explorers teacher while my daughter's, now ages 16, 14 & 12, each attended CJA for the amazing preschool program. I know 1st hand that we are not only a preschool but a family here at Creekside. Some of my most favorite people/families (Teacher Jen included!) over the years are the ones that I met when I was a parent here and I'm so thankful for those friendships that are still in my life after 13 years! I truly believe that we at Creekside Junior Academy have the best families here in Columbia County!
Jessica Whitney- Junior Explorers Lead
I am excited to be a part of the Creekside Junior Academy family. I grew up in Forest Grove. While in forest grove I worked as a special education assistant for about 8 years. I have worked 16 years at the Forest Grove Aquatic Center lifeguarding, teaching children and adult lessons. Currently working very part time teaching water aerobics. I have been a Columbia County resident for 8 years since my husband and I have been married. We have two children, Harrison, 5, and Luca 2 1/2. Harrison just graduated from his 2nd year at Creekside after participating in the jr. explorers program. Luca has also been in Jr explorers for the last 9 months. Things I like to do on my spare time, hahaha, are going to the beach, eating good food, crafting, painting, puzzles, baking, spending time with family. That being said I can’t wait to sing and play with you and your kiddos.

For the past year and I half I have been a Creekside parent. As a parent, I fell in love with the school, the curriculum and staff. I've worked with children for many years in many different settings and genuinely enjoy watching them learn. I have two children of my own, which has really persuaded me to start my journey towards a degree in Early Childhood Education. I’ve lived in St. Helens most of my life and graduated from St. Helens high school in 2010. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and crafting. I feel so fortunate to work along side Creekside families and play a small part in your children’s lives.
